Note about Toon, Toone

I have standardised on the "Toon" spelling for the years 1700-1900 to help with research. Where Toone is a known spelling, I have included it as "AKA". Spelling very much depended on who was writing the name--often not the person themselves--and how they heard it. Early spellings, including Towne, are left as such.

John Bonnett's second marriage found!

John Bonnett married Mary Ann, maiden name unknown, previous married name Parker, in late 1837. The marriage index has John's name transcribed as John Bonnett North! I have ordered the marriage certificate--hopefully it will give information on John's father. Still need to find out if John's daughter Elizabeth was Mary Ann's, or Elizabeth Lindsey's child--Elizabeth died in January, 1837 and was buried in Barrow-upon-Soar.
